Responsible gambling
FreeBettingTools ranks free betting tools. We are not a sportsbook and we don't take bets.
Need help now? Call or text 1-800-GAMBLER (1-800-426-2537). It's free, confidential and open 24/7. You can also chat at ncpgambling.org (National Council on Problem Gambling).
Age and where it's legal
You must be 21 or older to use a sportsbook. Some states allow 18+ for certain products, like fantasy pick'em or prediction markets, so check your state's rules. Sports betting is legal only in some states, and offers and availability vary by state.
Self-exclusion
Every licensed US sportsbook lets you set deposit, wager and time limits, take a cooling-off break, or self-exclude from your account settings. Most legal states also run a statewide self-exclusion program that covers every licensed operator there; your state's gaming regulator or 1-800-GAMBLER can point you to it.
Staying in control
- Set a budget and a time limit before you start, and stick to them.
- Never chase losses. A bigger bet won't win back what you lost.
- Only bet money you can afford to lose. Never bet bill, rent or borrowed money.
- Don't bet when you're upset, stressed or drinking.
- Take breaks. If betting stops being fun, stop.
Warning signs include betting more than you planned, hiding betting from people close to you, or borrowing to bet. If that sounds familiar, call 1-800-GAMBLER.
Tools don't make betting risk-free
Odds screens, +EV finders and calculators help you find better prices. They don't guarantee a profit, and short-term results swing a lot.
How we make money
We earn affiliate commissions on some tools when you sign up through our links, at no extra cost to you. Those links are labeled "affiliate" and never change a tool's score or rank. See the methodology.
